PuraPC - Filter Specifications

All foam filter material in the PuraPC line is made of 1/8 inch thick polyurethane foam at a density of 60 pores per inch (ppi).
Our tests have shown that 45-60 ppi is the optimum filtering size. Smaller sized meshes (90 ppi) restricted air flow too much and larger meshes (30 ppi) let too much pollen and other fine particles through.
All filters are mounted over intakes, not exhaust, so there is no trapping of heat in the computer which doesn't raise CPU or system temp, at all.
Due to the unique 3d structure of 60 ppi 1/8" polyurethane foam, it is able to filter out particles down to 10 microns in size.
The polyurethane foam is rated UL class 2 - max operating temp of 200ºF. The ABS plastic in the filter assemblies is UL 94-V0 rated.
Pressure drop using the water gauge method is indicated in the table below.
